Dear Friends
We are in the midst of the potent Scorpio month and at this time every year, the energy feels deep, slow and sometimes heavy, so take it easy. In Scorpio we experience death, dying, endings and the potent potential of a new life emerging from the ashes of the old. It’s all about elimination, purging and renewal. Consider what is dying away in your thinking, relationships, attitudes, understanding and your life in general.
Unprocessed psychic material from the unconscious comes to the surface and we are confronted with the ‘stuff’ that we tend to stuff down into the dark shadows. When the Sun enters this sign every year, the light of consciousness is directed to the Underworld, illuminating the inner secret places.
There is a deepening in the collective psyche and we are pulled more inward. Make the most of this solar period to investigate and address what is arising and allow the transmutation to occur…… as you arise re-newed like the phoenix from the ashes.
More rest is needed - have you ever noticed how much Scorpios love to sleep? If we push too hard it can feel like trying to wade upstream in a river of treacle or mud J.So when possible, take some time out to sink deep into the inner spaces, into your feelings and allow the powerful forces of this amazing energy to transform you in some way.
You’ll notice the shift of energy when the Sun leaves Scorpio and enters Sagittarius on November 22nd. If the Scorpio inner work has been done, the release into the inspired heights of Sagittarius will feel amazing.
Currently, a lot of planets are turning to a direct motion after a period in retrograde:
Saturday 6th November (the day of the Scorpio New Moon), Chiron the Healer went direct after 5 months in retrograde motion. This can bring a release or resolution of something that has been troublesome in your life eg an illness, relationship, work issues etc, depending on what area of your chart he is affecting now.
Sunday 7th November, Neptune also went Direct after 5 months retrograde. Both Chiron and Neptune have been traveling close together in the last degrees of Aquarius sine last year, bringing the possibility of some truly profound realizations and healing. The Neptune influence will be strong in the coming few years as this watery planet moves into it’s own sign of Pisces. Shift your focus more and more to the right brain: meditation, music, silence, nature, the imagination etc.
Friday 19th November, Jupiter goes Direct after 4 1/2 months retrograde … bringing a surge of new optimism and positivity.
And… Venus goes Direct again… on the same day ….after her 6 week retrograde phase since October 8th. The Venus retrograde phase can trigger relationship difficulties, a block in the flow of money and the loss of precious items (or people). I love it that the two benefics, Venus and Jupiter, turn direct on the same day. Expect a significant shift of energy as things become unstuck and a noticeable, positive flow opens up. I’ll be buying a Lotto ticket. Monday 6th December sees wild Uranus go Direct again. He’s been in retro motion since July…. there’ll be excitement and revolution in the air. What needs to be released and liberated fro you?
Watch the news for significant events on these dates as the energy is always strong when planets are stationary (ie changing direction).
